The vessels are slab-built using stoneware. He fires them in a gas fired kiln using ash glazes he prepares from the ash, from Oak and Ash trees, in his log burner. His focus is looking to represent land and seascape and the passing of time.
The Rame series was inspired The coastal area of the Rame Peninsular in Cornwall. Representing the cliffs, rocks, sea and sky and thinking about the passing to time.
